About the Role
You will provide personal coaching to students and graduates applying to law firms. This involves weekly calls to offer structure, accountability, and one-on-one assistance, as well as conducting practice interviews.
Responsibilities
- Conduct 30 30-minute calls per week with applicants.
- Build a personal 'curriculum' for applicants aiming for a training contract.
- Review applicant applications.
- Conduct practice video interviews.
- Conduct practice mock online tests.
- Deliver mock interviews and case studies.
- Discuss commercial awareness news stories.
- Conduct mock interviews instead of personal service calls if fewer than 30 are completed.
- Ramp up mock interviews between January and March.
- Be paid overtime at £22.5 per call for exceeding 30 calls a week.
Requirements
- Possess a training contract.
- Demonstrate the work ethic to complete 30 calls weekly.
- Maintain a very high standard of writing.
- Have interviewed at multiple law firms and typically received more than one offer.
- Learn quickly, take pride in work quality, and work with speed.
- Have a strong understanding of the law firm application process.
- Exhibit a high level of commercial awareness.
