About the Role
Tyson Foods is seeking a Wastewater Operator for the Prepared Foods Division. This role is crucial for maintaining wastewater treatment systems and ensuring regulatory compliance. The company offers advancement opportunities, steady work, and invests in team members' success.
Responsibilities
- Operate wastewater analysis laboratory
- Operate and maintain wastewater collection system
- Operate and maintain wastewater pre-treatment system
- Operate and maintain wastewater full treatment system or any other type of water or wastewater treatment system
- Collect samples for analysis in accordance with EPA, state, and/or health department regulations
- Perform chemical analysis both in and out of a laboratory setting
- Make system adjustments based on interpretation of chemical analysis results
- Make decisions on maintaining regulatory compliance
- Perform mathematical calculations using basic algebraic formulas and a calculator
- Complete computerized reports
- Compile information and complete monthly reports as required by permits, state authority, EPA, or corporate management
- Utilize organizational skills, mechanical skills, and electrical wiring skills
- Communicate operational status to management
- Maintain operations logs
- Perform minor to major maintenance on equipment
- Operate a spotter truck and/or a forklift
Requirements
- Must submit a resume to be considered
- Must reside in the United States
- Must successfully complete a storm water training program within thirty days
- Must successfully complete and obtain the lowest grade certification program within twelve months or in accordance with State regulations
- Must obtain the second highest grade certification through the state certification program within twenty-four months of completion of initial requirements or in accordance with State regulations
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
