About the Role
This position is responsible for receiving, maintaining, sorting, storing, and distributing materials for multiple departments accurately and efficiently. It also ensures adequate levels of work-in-progress (WIP) to meet production demands.
Responsibilities
- Distributes materials to production lines, including replenishment, staging, and stock issues.
- Performs inventory maintenance, including condensing, consolidating, and cycle counting.
- Maintains a clean and organized stock area with proper stock rotation.
- Ensures all staging documentation is present and signed off for compliance.
- Releases and prioritizes job orders in coordination with materials management partners and supervisors.
- Complies with all company policies, manufacturing procedures, SOPs, and cGMPs.
- Trains and mentors new material handlers, acting as a resource and setting an example.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Reads and interprets work schedules, Kanban, Discrete jobs, bills of materials, pick lists, drawings, and SOPs.
- Operates material handling equipment such as electronic tablets, label machines, pallet jacks, and weight scales.
- Ensures accurate product labeling and label accountability.
- Performs accurate data entry transactions within the MRP system and records information on Discrete jobs for traceability.
- Manages processes to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
- Builds quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to actively communicate with Production Lead and/or Production Supervisor.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- Notify manager/supervisor immediately for all on-the-job injuries or accidents.
- Exposure to Manufacturing Clean Room environment.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Ability to regularly stand and walk to perform production tasks.
- Required to perform repetitive movement while demonstrating proficient hand and eye coordination, hand dexterity, and good vision.
- Continual attention to the accuracy of documentation.
