About the Role
Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking a Part-Time Wine and Spirits APC Clerk for its Pacific Heights location. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for and experience in wine and specialty spirits, a drive to expand product knowledge, and a commitment to providing a tailored shopping experience. A love for food and grocery is also essential, as the All Purpose Clerk (APC) is a versatile team member who may assist in Cashiering or other departments based on store needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with questions while providing exceptional customer service.
- Remain current and continually expand knowledge of wine and spirits to inform and educate guests, and provide suggestions and pairing ideas with food.
- Merchandise and maintain correct signage throughout the department.
- Stock and face shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Perform inventory control.
- Transport merchandise from storage areas and the sales floor.
- Assist in other departments if needed and perform cashiering duties.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of retail experience with a focus on wine/spirits.
- Ability to develop product knowledge and stay current.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Self-motivated and energetic.
- Willingness to be cross-trained in other departments.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Local candidates only.
- Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to reach for up to 4 hours per day.
