About the Role
Own UGLYCASH's social presence and shape the company's narrative. This role involves managing and growing social channels, identifying compelling stories, and developing them into ongoing narratives for a new generation of online earners.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow UGLYCASH's cross-platform social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, and X
- Own and develop the ongoing narrative of UGLYCASH across social
- Work closely with the founders and team to identify the stories, personalities, moments, and ideas worth turning into content
- Build recurring storylines, formats, and content arcs that give people a reason to keep following
- Turn internal company happenings into compelling narratives
- Partner closely with the film creator to decide what should be captured and how those moments become stories
- Develop and maintain the social content calendar and publishing cadence
- Stay plugged into internet culture and identify relevant trends, conversations, and formats for participation
- Experiment with storytelling methods and evolve the narrative based on resonance
Requirements
- Located in the United States and willing to relocate to San Francisco after hire (relocation support provided)
- Strong storyteller with an instinct for identifying compelling stories
- Experience building and growing an audience, ideally across Instagram and a writing-led platform
- Ability to develop clear content pillars and recurring formats that build a recognizable voice
- Ability to think in narratives, not just individual posts
- Strong editorial and creative taste with an understanding of cultural relevance
- Deeply internet-native with an understanding of online content consumption and engagement
- Strategic and hands-on approach to shaping and executing stories
