About the Role
The Associate Program Manager plays a foundational role in the underwriting operations of Spinnaker's Partner Programs business. This role ensures compliance, reporting, and documentation accuracy for smooth, audit-ready program operations, while developing the underwriting judgment to evaluate MGA-written business.
Responsibilities
- Assist with state filing review and tracking, compiling documentation for new program launches and renewals.
- Maintain onboarding checklists for new MGA partner programs.
- Review deal-specific business terms and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Compile performance data, loss history, and program documentation to support renewal strategy planning.
- Track assigned program performance against strategic objectives.
- Prepare monthly reinsurer reporting packages, pulling data from underwriting and claims systems.
- Support reconciliation of account balances with MGA partners and reinsurers.
- Compile claims and treaty reporting inputs, including preliminary IBNR data pulls.
- Gather and organize underwriting guideline documentation for assigned MGA programs.
- Conduct first-pass data validation for program administrator audits.
- Track and log program administrator/MGA audit findings and remediation status.
- Support loading of signed reinsurance agreements into the contract database.
- Maintain program files and documentation in line with recordkeeping standards.
- Participate in new business development support, gathering data on prospective MGA partners.
Requirements
- Three or more years of Property and Casualty insurance experience in an underwriting, operations, or compliance-support capacity.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data.
- Ability to follow defined processes precisely while proactively flagging exceptions or discrepancies.
- Clear written communication for internal reporting and documentation.
