About the Role

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our team in New York, New York. This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027. The role involves designing and analyzing structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design calculations for diverse projects
Develop and review structural drawings and specifications using CAD software
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress
Prepare technical reports and present findings to project managers and clients
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates
Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and emerging technologies
Participate in quality control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
Previous internship or professional experience in structural engineering is preferred
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, RISA) is preferred
Strong skills in AutoCAD and/or Revit are preferred
Solid understanding of structural design principles and various construction materials is preferred
Knowledge of building codes and standards is preferred
Excellent mathematical and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future
Relocation assistance is not available
