About the Role
Pacific Aviation is seeking a Flight Operations Manager to support and mentor our team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights.
Responsibilities
- Directs and coordinates flight operation and control activities of regional stations through Flight Dispatchers and subordinate personnel.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies and airports.
- Performs aircraft performance calculations.
- Ensures safety of flights.
- Oversees preparation and filing of computerized Flight and ATC plans for International, Trans-Pacific/Atlantic Flights.
- Provides full weather and operational briefings to flight crews, analyzing weather NOTAMs and ATC data.
- Oversees and manages Flight Operations and Weight & Balance departments.
- Liaises with Upper Management, Clients, Vendors, Airport and Government Authorities to ensure station activities comply with regulations.
- Manages and develops personnel to maximize operational performance in areas of on-time performance, staffing, training, and safety.
- Prepares staff work schedules for optimum utilization of human resources and facilities.
- Prepares and submits reports pertaining to flight operations, payroll, and client billing.
- Operates within the budget.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in Flight Operations.
- FAA Flight Dispatch License.
- Knowledge of SITA/ARINC/LIDO/JEPPESEN/SABER communication/flight planning software preferred.
- Training required in CFR 14 PART 121, 129, 135, CFR 14 PART 120, CFR 49 PART 40 per carrier assignment.
- Strong Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize functions, work efficiently, and manage time.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Available to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
