About the Role
Join the innovative and passionate hotel team at Fairmont Austin, a luxury property offering exceptional guest experiences. This role is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment and grow within a leading hospitality group.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely, personalized, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service.
- Ensure the cafe's cleanliness and maintenance exceed expectations.
- Contribute to operational improvements by sharing ideas and suggestions.
- Actively participate in departmental communication meetings and sales promotions.
- Ensure all beverage products meet Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards.
- Maintain cafe stock levels and communicate '86' items to the Manager on Duty.
- Ensure the cafe area is clean and all equipment is functional.
- Report any concerns regarding guests, service, operations, or equipment to the Manager.
- Be health and safety conscious and maintain a safe work environment.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service using Fairmont Service Essentials.
- Complete side duties in a timely manner.
- Assist colleagues with daily tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous guest service experience preferred.
- Previous point of sale system experience preferred.
- Must have good cash handling skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Constant standing and sitting throughout the shift.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
