About the Role
Where Smiles Grow Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join their team. The role involves providing excellent dental care in a welcoming, child-friendly environment, with a commitment to training the right individual.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize dental treatment rooms and instruments prior to patient appointments.
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Perform sterilization and disinfection of dental tools and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care with empathy and clear communication.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials, ensuring availability for daily operations.
- Adhere to body motion and ergonomics best practices to maintain personal health and safety during clinical tasks.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn and grow in the dental field.
- No prior experience required; training provided for the right person.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
