About the Role
The Procurement Specialist will coordinate the procurement of goods and services within the Pacific market, focusing on contract implementation, category strategy execution, and supplier performance tracking. This role aims to achieve cost savings and process improvements while providing superior customer service and ensuring optimal value for purchased goods and services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the operational and tactical Procurement of goods and services categories in accordance with category strategy, policies, procedures, and specifications.
- Maintain business relationships with local management to anticipate procurement needs and ensure optimized cost of goods and services.
- Manage relationships with equipment and maintenance service suppliers.
- Negotiate local volumes, processes, quality levels, and prices in coordination with the Procurement Manager and Category Management.
- Support local plant CAPEX initiatives by ensuring RFx process compliance with procurement policies.
- Compose contracts and agreements using pre-approved templates under the direction of the Procurement Manager.
- Support the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements in Country, aligned with regional and North American strategies.
- Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools to analyze complex datasets and identify cost-saving and operational opportunities.
- Execute and monitor internal controls, ensuring efficient and effective activities that support objectives and adhere to laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety.
Requirements
- Demonstrated performance in working within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with eRFQ, eAuction, and Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Excellent written and oral operational communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels and with all functions.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Advanced analytical and EXCEL skills, with the ability to manipulate large, complex datasets to identify trends and cost-savings opportunities.
- Effective time management, planning, and organization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and drive tasks to completion within fixed timeframes in a pressured environment.
- Ability to deal with ambiguities, conflicts, and adversarial relationships.
- Ability to identify problems quickly, make sound judgments, and establish and implement solutions.
- Ability to understand the technical aspects of internal product lines from a procurement perspective.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel legally to the United States.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
- Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
