About the Role
The Buyer/Planner is responsible for managing purchasing, materials requirements planning, supplier relationship management, product life cycle, and service design, with a focus on critical supplier management.
Responsibilities
- Placing and managing orders to support forecast and production orders
- Managing supplier relationships and ensuring on-time delivery, high quality, and cost maintenance
- Building and creating commodity strategies that support business objectives
- Working cross-functionally to support New Product Introduction (NPI) Projects
- Maintaining queues that directly impact order placement, acknowledgement, delivery, and part setup
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, or Business related position
- Experience and knowledge of using SAP or similar ERP systems, order management, and inventory management
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and RFQs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, work independently, and document work effectively
