About the Role
This role is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of Marvell’s Global Trade Compliance team, overseeing both export and import compliance functions. The position involves implementing programs for EAR, ITAR, OFAC, CBP regulations, and other international trade laws. It requires evaluating, designing, and testing compliant systems and processes, including AI-driven automation, and partnering with legal counsel. This is a strategic and operational role focused on architecting a trade compliance program for high growth, building organizational capability, and developing talent.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and grow a global team of 14+ trade compliance and trade operations professionals.
- Design and architect a trade compliance program built for hypergrowth, evaluating and implementing systems, processes, and procedures.
- Operationalize trade compliance programs to ensure compliance with export controls, technology transfer rules, and sanctions requirements.
- Oversee import, customs, and trade facilitation compliance, including classification, country of origin, valuation, and duty-mitigation programs.
- Serve as the escalation point for ECCN and HTS classification determinations.
- Own the program’s metrics, KPIs, and health reporting.
- Conduct trade compliance investigations, participate in audits, and drive continuous program monitoring and corrective actions.
- Support M&A due diligence and integration activities from a trade compliance perspective.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement technology tools, including AI-driven automation, to streamline trade compliance operations.
- Partner with counsel on export licensing strategy, regulatory filings, and legal advice.
- Collaborate across business functions to build integrated trade compliance processes.
- Direct, develop, and execute risk-based trade compliance training and communications.
- Operate as a customer-centric, business-enabling partner, promoting a culture of trade compliance and ethics.
- Thrive and adapt in a high-paced, high-growth, and rapidly changing business environment.
- Travel globally to meet with stakeholders, conduct training, and improve processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Extensive, hands-on experience in trade compliance, spanning transactions, technology transfer, and tariffs.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in classification (ECCN/HTS) and program management.
- Proven experience managing and scaling a global team of trade compliance professionals.
- Semiconductor industry or related advanced-technology experience required.
- Strategic thought leader with strong business acumen and sound judgment.
- Politically savvy, with strong executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing global trade compliance teams, systems implementations, and budgets.
- Nimble learner, quick to adopt new tools and technologies.
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable law.

- 167,100 - 247,310 USD per annum
