About the Role

Checkr's Solutions Engineering team partners with Sales and Implementation teams to design and develop unique solutions for complex prospects, enhancing trust and safety in the hiring process. Solutions Engineers are experienced problem solvers who understand how technology delivers business value and provide pre-sales support for valuable prospects and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical sale by partnering closely with Sales to navigate complex deals from discovery to contract.
  • Earn trust at every level by meeting with executives and operators, tailoring messages, and building lasting relationships.
  • Bring solutions to life by designing and delivering product demos, POCs/pilots, solution architectures, and proposals.
  • Be the expert by educating prospects on safe hiring best practices, answering technical and compliance questions, and positioning Checkr as an industry leader.
  • Shape the product by distilling customer feedback into actionable insights for R&D teams.
  • Spot the big picture by identifying trends across verticals.
  • Amplify our story by partnering with Marketing on case studies, use cases, and events.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years in Solutions Engineering, Technical Sales, Customer Success, or a related SaaS role.
  • Hands-on experience with the full technical sales cycle: discovery, solution design, and proof-of-value execution.
  • Strong discovery and value-based selling skills with the ability to craft a compelling demo narrative.
  • Comfort with RESTful APIs or a genuine eagerness to learn.
  • A track record of working effectively across Sales, Product, and Marketing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.
  • An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.
