Responsibilities
- Build scalable and reliable backend services, webhooks, and public-facing APIs.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code to process and evaluate data signals in real-time.
- Take ownership of technical projects, translating requirements into system architectures.
- Contribute to the team's on-call rotation, debugging and maintaining high-visibility systems.
- Engage with product teams to understand user pain points and build solutions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive related work experience.
- 3 years of experience in programming languages including Java, Ruby, Python, and Go.
- 3 years of experience building scalable and reliable backend services, webhooks, and public-facing APIs.
- 3 years of experience designing, building, and deploying distributed backend services in a production environment.
- 3 years of experience working with relational databases (Postgre SQL, MySQL) or NoSQL data stores.
- 3 years of experience with stream processing or event-driven architectures in Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience translating product and engineering requirements into scalable system designs.
- 3 years of experience building automated systems or tooling to instrument and evaluate customer experience.
- 3 years of experience developing interactive frontend components, dashboards, or data reports using React and D3.js.
