About the Role
We are looking for a Software Product Manager to build and improve internal software used daily by teams that design, deploy, and manage microgrids and data center energy solutions. This role will also drive internal AI adoption and steer key cybersecurity initiatives. This is a broad role in a lean team, well-suited for someone with strong PM craft, AI fluency, and the versatility to operate across multiple workstreams. You’ll be close to the product work – from understanding user needs to shipping improvements that matter.
Responsibilities
- Lead products from discovery through launch, including problem clarification, feature definition, prioritization, and partnership with engineering and design.
- Develop a deep understanding of internal customers and users through direct engagement and research.
- Maintain a clear, prioritized roadmap and proactively manage concurrent workstreams.
- Make day-to-day product decisions based on user research, business context, technical feasibility, and ROI.
- Partner on software strategy and inform direction with discovery insights.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across various functions, ensuring clear communication of progress and tradeoffs.
- Leverage AI to increase personal productivity and drive AI incorporation into products.
- Drive internal AI adoption by assessing team needs, prioritizing support, and serving as an AI resource.
- Steer the ISO certification program, coordinating with stakeholders and IT & Engineering on cybersecurity.
- Coordinate product releases with other functions, providing demos and training.
- Contribute to team standards and improve PM function operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience in an early or growth-stage B2B environment with demonstrated end-to-end product ownership.
- Experience in leading products from discovery through launch.
- Experience in developing a deep understanding of internal customers and users.
- Experience in maintaining a clear, prioritized roadmap.
- Experience in making day-to-day product decisions grounded in user research, business context, technical feasibility, and ROI.
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in leveraging AI to increase productivity.
- Experience in driving internal AI adoption.
- Experience in steering security compliance or certifications (e.g., ISO, SOC 2).
- Experience with distributed energy resources (e.g., energy storage, PV, microgrids), utility tariffs and rate structures, grid services.
- Experience with data center operations or infrastructure.
- Good understanding of software technologies, cybersecurity and development.
- Enthusiasm for the company’s mission and vision for a distributed energy future.
- Industry experience in energy, utilities, or closely related infrastructure sectors.
