About the Role
As part of the expansion plans in Canada, we are looking for an experienced, energetic, passion-for-fashion Stockroom Supervisor in the GTA. This position reports directly to the Store Manager and together you will build the store team. The mission is to lead and manage the team in receiving and controlling merchandise and its storage in the stockroom, and to undertake store replenishment according to company procedures, ensuring the shop floor is customer-ready at all times.
Responsibilities
- Set expectations for stockroom operations with the team.
- Assign, delegate, guide, and lead by example in task completion.
- Motivate the team to maximize productivity and results.
- Display expert product knowledge, company history, policy, and strategies.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by supporting the sales team.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
- Perform merchandise flow duties for the sales floor and backroom.
- Perform POS functions and participate in management functions.
- Collaborate with VM and SM in preparing materials for store changes.
- Provide leadership or assistance with floor sets, window changes, and other visual merchandising.
- Communicate actively with the team based on business needs.
- Detect employee potential and ensure their development.
- Mentor team members' skill development.
- Coach the team on back-of-house and product flow expectations and manage conflict.
- Plan measures to reach stockroom deadlines and targets.
- Analyze and review stockroom indicators and performance to improve efficiency and store results.
- Understand and impact key performance indicators (Conversion, UPT, ADT).
- Optimize resources and minimize expenses, including talent productivity.
- Prioritize tasks and deadlines within global business and commercial needs.
- Support, communicate, and share best practices with other stockroom supervisors.
- Be familiar with seasonal products, collections, orders, colors, and sizes.
- Utilize product lists for stockroom management.
- Participate in updating the Merchandising and Rotation rail.
- Recommend alternative garments when out-of-stock items are requested.
- Control and monitor stockroom materials.
- Reorganize stockroom space optimally based on season stage and store needs.
- Re-label garments as required for sales or promotions.
- Be aware of new products and shop floor inventory.
- Provide product feedback to the management team.
- Open or close the store and provide coverage during peak times.
- Maintain a selling focus in the store.
- Support company and management initiatives and ensure adherence to policies.
Requirements
