About the Role
The Cleaner will perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, adhering to established standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces.
- Operate light and heavy floor cleaning machines.
- Vacuum rugs and spot clean.
- Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Wash windowsills and glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
- Wash glass and trim at entrance doors.
- Clean interior walls.
- Clean bathrooms and restock supplies.
- Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals and lights out.
- Collect building trash and place it in designated areas.
- Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers.
- Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways.
- Perform periodic tasks including high dusting, leather and wood surface care, polishing, and wall washing.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic cleaning responsibilities require no previous experience.
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to function cooperatively as part of a team.
- Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
- Ability to use a portable vacuum cleaner (back pack style).
- Requires attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
