About the Role
The Doorperson represents the hotel at the main entrance by greeting guests enthusiastically and courteously. This role maintains driveway traffic flow for accessibility and luggage assistance, ensuring a welcoming first and last impression.
Responsibilities
- Use friendly and appropriate expressions when engaging guests upon arrival and departure
- Greet guests warmly, open doors, and provide a welcoming first and last impression of the hotel
- Assist guests entering and exiting vehicles, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
- Coordinate with Valet, Front Desk, and Bell Services to ensure seamless guest flow
- Call taxis or shuttle transportation for guests as requested
- Provide directions and information regarding hotel facilities and local points of interest
- Escort guests to hotel areas when appropriate
- Monitor the entrance area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and a professional appearance at all times
- Manage traffic flow at the front drive, ensuring safety and efficiency for guests and vehicles
- Recognize and notify the Front Desk and Guest Services of VIP arrivals whenever possible
- Engage in conversation with guests to enhance their overall experience
- Ensure the entrance is covered at all times and communicate any gaps to leadership
- Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions
- Complete all tasks assigned by manager
- Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude and performance
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
