About the Role
The Hilton Austin Airport is looking for a talented Line Cook to assist in our Hotel and Restaurant kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare hotel food items while ensuring a visually appealing presentation and a delectable taste.
- Work all stations--the line, window, broiler, ovens, sauté, and pantry.
- Complete prep work relating to shift.
- Prepare entrees according to specification and utilizing recipe cards and specs to ensure consistency.
- Adhere to portion control specifications, food cost control, waste, spoilage, and rotation.
- Properly requisition food.
- Label, date, and wrap all food items.
- Clean and sanitize station at the end of shift and prepares for the next shift.
- Place all dirty utensils, glassware, pots, pans, etc. in dish washing area.
- Keep working areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Maintain Hilton F&B standards.
Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Previous food preparation experience is required.

- Culinary studies are preferred

- $18.00 per hour to start, with scheduled annual increases.
