About the Role
As a Data Scientist on the Company Planning and Execution (CPE) team, you will analyze operational and strategic information to provide clarity on complex questions. You will develop systems, processes, and insights to help Spotify plan, prioritize, and execute at scale, exploring AI and automation's role in decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Formulate hypotheses related to how Spotify plans and delivers, and communicate insights effectively to a range of audiences.
- Apply analytical techniques, including statistical models and machine learning, to identify trends and generate insights that improve how we work.
- Build and maintain data models, pipelines, and dashboards that provide visibility into how Spotify plans and executes.
- Develop structured narratives and recommendations, including the 'why' and 'so what', for planning and execution insight reports and briefings.
- Explore how AI and automation can make insights faster to produce and easier to access across the company.
Requirements
- Curious about how organizations work, including the data, decisions, and systems behind them.
- 5+ years of experience with a quantitative background in science, economics, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with multiple stakeholders across levels and functions.
- Ability to transform messy, complex datasets into clear recommendations and stories for non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Comfortable working in BigQuery.
- Experience with tools such as dbt, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience with operational or work management data is a plus.
