About the Role

Rogers Sports & Media (RSM) is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of Media Data Platforms and Products. This role supports advertising, audience insights, and customer subscription lifecycle initiatives, working across various teams to identify business opportunities and deliver scalable data capabilities. It combines people leadership, product management, commercial strategy, and technology leadership to modernize RSM’s data ecosystem and support long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the product roadmap for Media Data Platforms and Products supporting Advanced Advertising and Direct-to-Consumer subscription businesses.
  • Develop long-term platform strategies aligned with RSM’s business priorities and partner with Enterprise Architecture to define future-state platform capabilities.
  • Lead cross-functional planning for complex initiatives, coordinating dependencies across multiple products, engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Develop business cases supporting strategic platform investments and modernization initiatives.
  • Define product KPIs and measure adoption, business value, and platform health.
  • Lead the strategy and evolution of products supporting Reporting & Insights (PowerBI & DOMO), Martech (Adobe Experience Platform or other Customer Data Platforms), Adtech (identity graph, audience segmentation, attribution measurement), Direct-to-Consumer (customer lifecycle management), and Data Science (feature stores, ML operations).
  • Partner with Enterprise Data to evolve RSM’s data platform and technology ecosystem, aligning with stakeholders across a hybrid-cloud ecosystem including Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and on-premises.
  • Ensure best practices for data quality, governance, and finops.
  • Develop product roadmaps aligned with RSM’s strategy.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses.
  • Prepare CAPEX and OPEX plans supporting strategic platform investments.
  • Partner with Procurement on vendor selection, contract renewals, and strategic technology planning.
  • Lead and develop a team of Product Managers responsible for Media Data Platforms and Products.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop Product Managers, fostering a high-performing product organization.
  • Coach Product Managers on product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, stakeholder management, and product execution.
  • Establish product management best practices, governance, and operating models across RSM’s data portfolio.
  • Align priorities across multiple product teams to ensure consistent execution against Media business objectives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Data Platforms, or related technology leadership roles.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale data products or platform initiatives.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing Product Managers.
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud data platforms including Azure, Databricks or comparable technologies.
  • Experience developing strategic product roadmaps and technology investment plans.
  • Experience building business cases, strong stakeholder management, and executive communication.
  • Experience evaluating enterprise technology platforms and working with strategic technology vendors.
  • Ability to work with on-prem infrastructure.
  • Familiar with data engineering, Data Governance (data classification & PII), Data Architecture, and Ingestion/Transformation.
  • Media specific platform product management experience.
  • A pre-employment background check will be conducted.
