About the Role
Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Estimator to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP), a critical component of the Gateway Program. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant infrastructure program focused on strengthening mobility, enhancing resiliency, and ensuring the long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor.
Responsibilities
- Provide project scoping, design, and construction phase supervision services for a large transit program in New York City.
- Utilize knowledge of project controls, including cost and schedule management methods, specific to the transit industry.
- Collaborate with the program lead estimator and cost estimating team to develop accurate cost estimates for various transit program components, including civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, track, utilities, maintenance and storage facilities, signal and communications systems, bus depot facilities, and way side power facilities.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in construction estimating on complex infrastructure or tunnel projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Skills
- Proficiency in cost estimating methodologies and techniques related to construction.
- Knowledge of New York City construction trade unions rates and rules.
- Experience in preparing detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), civil, structural, or architectural construction projects.
- Strong ability to produce high-quality materials within tight timeframes.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
