About the Role
Lead manufacturing engineering activities supporting the production of high-voltage power supplies and electronic assemblies. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving manufacturing processes, and collaborating across engineering, production, and quality teams to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and continuously improve manufacturing processes for high-voltage power supplies (HVPS) and electronic assemblies.
- Serve as a key technical resource supporting the transition of products from development and prototype phases into production.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing personnel to ensure products meet performance, quality, reliability, and delivery requirements.
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Lead efforts to transition products from prototype development into full-scale production.
- Develop, validate, and implement manufacturing processes and work instructions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
- Support production teams by resolving manufacturing and process-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical and manufacturing issues.
- Troubleshoot and debug analog and digital electronic systems.
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Support failure analysis and reliability investigations.
- Collaborate with design engineering teams to improve manufacturability and product reliability.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities.
- Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
- Participate in design reviews and manufacturing readiness assessments.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including manufacturing procedures, test plans, process validations, and engineering change records.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and manufacturing standards.
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronics manufacturing or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with high-voltage power supplies, power electronics, or related electronic products strongly preferred.
- Prior experience leading projects, process improvements, or technical teams is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in electronic circuit design, development, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and inspection processes.
- Experience with analog and digital electronics.
- Understanding of signal processing, power supplies, and PID control systems.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
