About the Role
One of New York’s top plaintiff personal injury firms is seeking an experienced Auto Personal Injury Attorney to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to take a leading role in managing complex auto accident cases in a fast-paced, high-volume plaintiff personal injury practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a caseload of complex automobile and motor vehicle personal injury matters from inception through settlement, verdict, or trial.
- Handle depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Develop and execute case strategies designed to maximize client recovery.
- Analyze liability, damages, insurance coverage, and medical evidence.
- Negotiate effectively with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff as needed.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, experts, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
- Ensure cases are properly managed, deadlines are met, and files remain current.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives, firm growth, and overall case-management strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience handling New York automobile and motor vehicle personal injury claims.
- Proven track record of successfully resolving complex personal injury cases.
- Strong litigation and case-management skills.
- Prior leadership or management experience overseeing attorneys, paralegals, or case departments is a plus.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in New York.
- Minimum 5 years of personal injury litigation experience, preferably representing plaintiffs in automobile/motor vehicle accident cases.
- Strong knowledge of New York personal injury law and civil procedure.
- Proven ability to manage cases from inception through resolution and/or trial.
- Strong deposition, negotiation, motion practice, and courtroom skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and client-communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload and multiple priorities.
- Prior supervisory or management experience is preferred but not required.
