About the Role
The Ads Pricing and Packaging team is responsible for developing cutting-edge inventory management systems which support various monetization strategies, including dynamic pricing, rate card management, product packaging, inventory segmentation, and yield optimization. This new team is tasked with building highly performant advertising systems and delivering high impact to the business by monetizing Netflix's content. We seek to build unique value propositions to differentiate from the competition and become a market leader in the rapidly growing Connected TV advertising space.
Responsibilities
- Developing cutting-edge inventory management systems.
- Supporting various monetization strategies including dynamic pricing, rate card management, product packaging, inventory segmentation, and yield optimization.
- Building highly performant advertising systems.
- Delivering high impact to the business by monetizing content.
- Building unique value propositions to differentiate from the competition.
- Becoming a market leader in the Connected TV advertising space.
- Designing data models, platform abstractions, and public APIs for interoperability with internal ads platform teams and external order management systems.
- Setting architectural direction and influencing cross-functional roadmaps.
- Managing multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years focused on developing inventory management systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing yield optimization systems.
- Deep knowledge of inventory valuation.
- Experience in building systems for dynamic pricing, sell through rates, managing rate cards, segmenting and packaging inventory, and overseeing yield management.
- Strong understanding of auction mechanics.
- Experience building systems for reserve pricing.
- General understanding of the advertising marketplace and landscape, with a focus on publisher side challenges like optimizing fill rates and maximizing revenue in the context of inventory management.
- Track record of technical leadership across multiple teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
