About the Role
This role supports the Innovation and Commercialization agenda across ANZ Beverages BU, including managing the Innovation Process (Stage Gate meetings), leading innovation projects, and driving cross-functional teams to deliver launches. It also involves owning the Innovation systems data for quality inputs and KPI reporting.
Responsibilities
- Execute the portfolio innovation strategy.
- Lead commercialization of identified White Space NPD for Australia and New Zealand.
- Engage, communicate, and influence critical functions (R&D, Operations, Finance) within PepsiCo Australia/Region and Bottlers for alignment and execution.
- Ensure projects progress through relevant stage gate processes (internal and external).
- Implement a robust M&E plan and NPD tracker post-launch.
- Track innovation plan 'stickability' over a 3-5 year horizon in partnership with sector commercialization.
- Develop strong relationships with Commercialization leads in all Bottler businesses (AU, NZ, PNG, Fiji) to align timelines and manage deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver complex projects by agreed market dates.
- Drive PepsiCo Stage Gate, ensuring inputs and timelines align with bottler Stage Gate.
- Communicate milestones & timelines to project teams & key stakeholders for on-time, on-budget project delivery.
- Drive the monthly 3yr NPD Portfolio review agenda in collaboration with Innovations Director from Asahi.
- Communicate risks & issues in Senior Leadership Forums and implement mitigation & contingency plans.
- Present projects at Stage Gate meetings for ANZ Leadership Team approvals.
- Deliver KPIs focusing on 3Yr Innovation NR, Stickability, and Incrementality.
- Complete all Post-launch evaluations on time and in full.
- Build team standards through continuous end-to-end process improvement, tools, and templates.
- Own MyInnovation data integrity, ensuring quality inputs and compliance with Global requirements and business KPIs.
Requirements
- High level of business acumen and commercial savviness.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication with all levels and functions.
- Proven project leadership/management skills.
- Ability to manage complex functional interdependencies in project timelines.
- Strength in data analysis and interpretation to develop business recommendations.
- Ability to function in a heavily matrixed environment.
- Understanding of FMCG innovations, including consumer ideation, Insights processes, and Make/Move/Sell capability.
