It includes everything you need to launch a cloud offering, including software, hardware, tools, operating process, runbooks, and training, customer/partner provides the facilities, networks, and staffing. As a skilled Systems Development Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying GDCag solutions at customer sites as well as internal reference deployments. You will build deep expertise in deploying and operating Google Distributed Cloud air-gapped (GDCag) solutions. Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.
Responsibilities
- Deploy GDCag solutions at customer sites as well as internal reference deployments.
- Perform complex day to day troubleshooting and resolution of Infrastructure issues (Network, Storage, Servers, OS, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Interact with customers as well as internal development organizations in order to accomplish shared goals successfully.
- Participate in Customer, Partner, and Internal team deployments and training which require international travel.
- Contribute to train-the-trainer programs to equip Google partners with the knowledge and skills to effectively conduct customer deployments independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field such as Computer Networking, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, developer operations, or continuous integration, delivery, designing, building, and deploying of cloud-based solution architectures.
- Experience with physical and virtual infrastructure, operating systems, or virtualization.
- Experience in scripting and development languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) for Automation.
- Experience in either Linux/Docker/Kubernetes technologies or Windows and Active Directory environments.
- Due to the sensitive nature of this role, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a level 2 security clearance (SÜ2) under the German Classification Act (SÜG).
