About the Role
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2026. This paid, in-person, 12-week internship focuses on designing, building, and analyzing prototypes, transitioning successful projects into production, and utilizing first principles physics in decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design & build prototypes
- Analyze failures
- Transition successful projects into production
- Present design reviews

- Visit vendors
- Design & execute hardware test plans
- Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision
- Travel to test sites and vendors as needed
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or any related field
- Must be a rising senior at the time of their internship and returning to school at the end of their internship to continue their academic studies for at least one quarter/semester
- Collegiate project team or laboratory experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergrad or graduate engineering program
- CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards
- Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills
- High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance
