About the Role

Build and run AVEVA’s supplier decarbonisation workstream under the Responsible Sourcing Program. This role will establish the end-to-end operating model for supplier segmentation, engagement, governance, tools, data validation, and reporting, and then execute it annually. Success will be measured by increased supplier participation, improved emissions data quality, and supplier inputs translated into credible action plans and internal reporting. We are seeking an individual who has previously designed and scaled a supplier engagement program.

Responsibilities

Track supplier emissions, enable supplier participation, and provide support.
Manage the governance cadence and engagement plan, including follow-ups.
Perform submission quality checks and validation.
Educate internal stakeholders and produce internal progress reports.
Build and execute the supplier decarbonisation engagement plan aligned with AVEVA targets and reporting needs.
Prioritize and tier suppliers using data-led screening.
Partner with category/relationship owners to confirm supplier ownership and engagement strategies.
Deliver scalable enablement (webinars, office hours, FAQs, templates) and targeted 1:1 support.
Establish and manage a follow-up and escalation model for non-participation or low-quality submissions.
Operate the data collection workflow using existing tools and support scale-up planning.
Implement an assurance-ready supplier emissions data approach, defining data requirements, validation checks, and evidence expectations.
Provide guidance to suppliers on data expectations and common pitfalls, validating submissions and driving clarifications.
Maintain audit-ready documentation for methodology, decisions, evidence, and reviews.
Develop lightweight automation for tracking and feedback loops as requirements grow.
Translate supplier emissions submissions into credible action plans with milestones, owners, timelines, and expected impact.
Identify feasible decarbonisation levers for AVEVA’s indirect supply chain and share practical recommendations with suppliers.
Track progress, manage follow-ups, and ensure closure evidence is retained.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience designing and delivering supplier decarbonisation / Scope 3 supplier engagement (indirect supply chain experience strongly preferred).
Strong working knowledge of GHG concepts including Scope 1, 2, and 3, organizational inventory, operational boundaries, activity-based vs. spend-based approaches, emissions factor concepts, and data quality/validation principles.
Experience running supplier emissions data collection and improving data quality.
Strong program management skills with the ability to drive delivery through a matrix, including stakeholder alignment, prioritization, follow-up cadence, and escalation.
Proven supplier engagement capability: pragmatic coaching, clear expectation-setting, and professional escalation.
Evidence of delivery outcomes (e.g., improved supplier participation, uplift in data quality, action plan adoption).
Comfort working with datasets and dashboards (Excel/Sheets; Power BI/Tableau desirable).
Understanding of procurement levers and ability to align sustainability asks with commercial reality.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with ESG/supplier engagement platforms (e.g., Watershed, CDP Supply Chain, EcoVadis, or similar) is desirable.
Familiarity with assurance-ready ways of working is desirable.
Experience building repeatable toolkits and delivering supplier enablement at scale is desirable.
Ability to design supplier journeys and comms campaigns that drive behavioral change is desirable.
Experience engaging global suppliers and stakeholders across time zones and cultures is desirable.
Certifications/training such as CIPS, GHG Protocol training, ISO 14064 awareness, or SBTi familiarity are nice-to-have.
