Responsibilities

Help turn strategy into clear, practical direction by looking across the business, bringing in external thinking, and questioning current approaches.
Focus effort on what matters most and follow through by supporting clear priorities, taking responsibility for delivery, and resolving issues or risks early.
Support others to do their best work by sharing expertise, coaching informally, and contributing to an inclusive and safe environment.
Build strong, trusted working relationships by working openly and collaboratively, listening to different perspectives, and influencing outcomes through credibility and constructive challenge.
Strengthen governance and risk culture through everyday influence by contributing to clear ways of working and role-modeling good risk awareness and accountability.
Support the continuous improvement of risk and compliance maturity through the implementation of frameworks including Risk Culture and Code of Conduct.
Support the development and maintenance of key risk and compliance policies and procedures that support the ASX Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
Perform analysis, develop insights to action, and reporting on the effectiveness of the ERMF including compliance.
Support the effective implementation and integration of the Compliance Management Framework from Regulatory change through to monitoring its implementation in the business.
Measure and monitor the Risk Appetite Statement and the mitigating actions.
Support the assessment of the ASX Group Risk Profile of all L1 and L2 non-financial risks.
Support the Board and Committee reporting process for risk and compliance related Enterprise reporting, providing valuable insights, thematics and recommendations.
Deliver Enterprise level monitoring activities across relevant Risk and Compliance policies and procedures.

Requirements

A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. risk management, compliance, law, finance, economics, or a related field).
7+ years experience in risk management and/or regulatory compliance, including the ongoing uplift of the design and execution of enterprise risk strategies within complex, matrixed financial services organisations.
Senior expertise in risk management concepts, frameworks, and tools, with a proven ability to identify, assess and manage key nonfinancial risks across an enterprise environment.
7+ years Risk and Compliance capability, with demonstrated experience providing advice, insight and challenge across risk management, financial markets, largescale project delivery, and regulatory remediation programs.
Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate risk and compliance matters to positively influence risk culture and behaviours.
Experience engaging with and managing Division and Enterprise level committees, working groups and governance forums.
Facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills.
Developed trusted and collaborative relationships across stakeholder groups, subject matter experts, and leaders.
Experience improving Operational Risk environments and culture.
Legal expertise in financial or similar Industry (Nice to have).
Experience in large scale Enterprise-wide risk transformations (Nice to have).
Experience in different elements of the 3 lines of defence and with different elements of the ERMF including compliance (Nice to have).
Must be legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without any restrictions.

The Risk and Compliance Advisory team operates as a second-line function, responsible for the design and maintenance of Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks and Policies, Risk Culture, Policy Governance, Risk Capability and Accountability Frameworks to industry and regulatory best practice standards.
