About the Role
As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and decorating coffee specialties and snacks, and maintaining hygiene standards. You will also advise guests on coffee specialties and manage inventory.
Responsibilities
- Perform classic service activities with a high degree of customer orientation.
- Handle the sale, preparation, and decoration of coffee specialties (Latte Art) and snacks.
- Ensure all hygiene standards in the café are met.
- Maintain and clean materials, equipment, and the workspace, and be responsible for machine maintenance.
- Advise and inform guests about our coffee specialties.
- Manage (re)orders for the café.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in gastronomy or at least one year of demonstrable professional experience as a barista with training in the field.
- Possess a valid health certificate according to § 43 of the Infection Protection Act or be willing to obtain one before starting work.
- Experience with cash register systems is helpful for your start.
- Work in a service-oriented manner, be a team player, and bring positive energy to your workplace.
- Have knowledge of coffee and milk types, as well as coffee specialties.
- Possess the necessary know-how in handling coffee and espresso preparation equipment, including their use and maintenance.
- Have a well-groomed and friendly appearance.
- Willingness to continue education and learn new things.
