About the Role
AECOM is expanding its Water Infrastructure Team in New South Wales due to significant contract awards. The Water Infrastructure group provides services for water and wastewater treatment, dams, asset management, major conveyance, industrial, civil infrastructure, mining, and defence sectors, focusing on sustainable outcomes. Joining the team offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading experts and collaborate with interstate and international offices.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in technical practice leadership for the civil group.
- Provide guidance to the team, mentoring junior engineers and designers.
- Manage and complete projects from inception, including bidding, concept design, detailed design, tendering, and construction phase support.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are followed, delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across various sectors.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications & CPEng.
- Ideally, 20+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater projects including civil water networks, hydraulic/pump selection, transient analysis, buried structural pipe calculations, thrust block design.
- Knowledge of applicable Australian codes and standards.
- Passion for delivering high-quality work, mentoring, leadership, collaboration, and excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills.
