About the Role

Lead exceptional events at one of the world's most iconic cultural institutions. As a senior leader, you'll drive the delivery of outstanding events and event account management services, ensuring alignment with the Sydney Opera House's artistic vision and strategic goals. Leading a team of dedicated specialists, you'll foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion and customer excellence, building strong relationships with hirers and stakeholders to deliver seamless experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the delivery of outstanding events and event account management services.
  • Ensure alignment with the Sydney Opera House's artistic vision and strategic goals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion and customer excellence.
  • Build strong relationships with hirers and stakeholders to deliver seamless experiences.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in building, mentoring and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong skills in communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and resource management.
  • Extensive experience in theatre, production and event management across a diverse range of events, including corporate, community, government, festival and performing arts programs.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or significant event management experience.
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, financial processes and contracts.
  • Ability to interpret and implement contractual requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in event management systems and digital tools.
  • Strong knowledge of the arts sector, industry trends and the broader operating environment.
  • Existing Australian work rights.
  • Satisfactory National Police Check.
  • Satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment.

  • Base salary of $138,869 per annum plus 12% Superannuation Contributions
