About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you will own the reliability, quality, and governance of our internal data platform. You will design, build, and improve data pipelines, introduce observability and automation, and help create a trusted, self-service data environment that scales with the business. This hands-on role is for someone who enjoys solving root-cause problems, improving systems, and delivering practical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own pipeline reliability, ensuring data lands correctly and on time, with proactive issue detection.
- Ensure data quality and consistency through built-in validation, reconciliation, and testing.
- Implement observability and documentation, including monitoring, alerting, and lineage for quick issue diagnosis.
- Enable self-service by providing analysts and product teams with access, tooling, and documentation.
- Utilize AI-driven tooling, including Claude, for building and fixing data solutions, and help elevate the data function's AI adoption.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related software engineering role with significant data responsibility.
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience building and supporting production data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks in a production environment.
- Experience delivering end-to-end data integrations from source systems to reporting or analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of data quality, testing, validation, and reconciliation practices.
- Experience using GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and version-controlled development workflows.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools for design, build, or troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
