About the Role
As a member of the R&D Mechanical Group for industrial endoscopes, you will drive global projects. With business expansion, we are actively hiring, offering opportunities for future unit leader roles and management development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee development and technical management as a project leader in joint development projects with overseas manufacturers.
- Examine development consignment details for overseas manufacturers, clarifying specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Drive joint development projects, managing progress and issues.
- Engage in technical discussions and negotiations with overseas manufacturers, including vendor control.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Optics, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Marketing.
- Resolve development challenges and conduct technical reviews.
- Perform mechanical design of insertion parts, optical adapters, and Micro Magnetic Actuators for industrial endoscopes.
- Develop ultra-small precision mechanisms, bending mechanisms, thermal design, and environmental resistance design.
- Specify customer requirements and support mass production launch.
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency.
- Advanced English communication, reading, and writing skills for daily interactions (email, online meetings) and potential in-person meetings with overseas manufacturers.
- Ability to travel overseas 1-2 times per year for approximately one week per trip.
- Mechanical design skills.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and drafting.
- Fundamental knowledge of four mechanics.
- Basic knowledge of statistics for analyzing evaluation results scientifically and logically.
- Project management skills.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in endoscope design/development or similar precision equipment development.
- Experience translating customer requirements into quality function deployment and product specifications for design.
- Experience as a project leader managing multiple team members.
