About the Role
AXA XL Risk Consulting, a division of AXA XL Insurance, supports underwriters in risk assessment and clients in risk identification, evaluation, anticipation, and prevention. This role focuses on providing consulting services for property and natural hazards in the Northeast US, requiring technical expertise to identify and mitigate exposures for diverse clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite visits to assess property and natural catastrophe exposures.
- Develop detailed reports relaying conditions and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with specialized engineers within AXA XL Risk Consulting to serve clients.
- Build credibility and customer satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk control services.
- Service U.S. territories and support both insured and non-insured clients.
- Report to the Northeast Regional Engineering Leader.
Requirements
- Robust working knowledge of NFPA Codes, FM Data Sheets, and local requirements.
- Robust working knowledge of fire protection.
- Some experience as a property field engineer.
- Experience analyzing Natural Hazards, particularly flood exposures.
- Ability to apply industry experience to a broad range of customers and projects.
- Ability to consult effectively on a broad range of property risk controls.
- Ability to identify exposures and assess controls on complex risks.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective communication with a broad range of underwriting and customer partners.
- Effective listening skills and ability to make sound assessments/conclusions.
- Ability to make technical information and recommendations understandable to a broad range of audiences.
- Ability to communicate in a manner that influences others to accept and act on recommendations.
- Self-starter capable of managing schedule and resources.
- Ability to continually assess workload considering business priorities and direct own efforts.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, proactively across lines of business, and effectively with internal and external partners.
- Valid driver’s license required.
