- Develop embedded software systems for spacecraft, including landers and other transportation system elements.
- Develop boards and test tools for hardware integration.
- Set up development environments.
- Identify software requirements from system-level requirements and break them down into software design, architecture, and implementation.
- Collaborate with subsystem engineers (avionics, ground segment, systems) to define software architecture, select components and technologies, and make build-or-buy decisions.
- Design software architecture with DSP/Microprocessor selection.
- Develop BSP (Board Support Package) and evaluate new design feasibility.
- Manage schedules, costs, and quality for assigned functions.
- Break down component functions into tasks and track status and issues.
- Report status and issues to leads or managers.
- Achieve high reliability and quality using modern development methods.
- Design, code, review, integrate, test, support, and enhance software solutions for spacecraft systems (attitude/motion control, command, communication, power, data management, fault protection).
- Document and update documentation at all phases.
- Design, implement, test, and perform problem analysis in collaboration with external (component suppliers) and internal stakeholders.
- Develop embedded software for spacecraft, including landers and other transportation systems.
- Identify software requirements from system level and translate them into software design, architecture, and implementation.
- Collaborate with subsystem engineers to design software architecture, select components, and make build-or-buy decisions.
- Design software architecture with DSP/Microprocessor selection and develop BSP.
- Evaluate the feasibility of new designs to meet requirements.
- Manage schedules, costs, and quality.
- Break down component functions into tasks and track status and issues.
