Develop our next generation ULTRA lunar lander.

Develop embedded software systems for spacecraft, including landers and other transportation system elements.
Develop boards and other components, test tools for integration, and set up development environments.
Lead the identification of software requirements from system-level requirements and break them down into software design, architecture, and implementation.
Collaborate with other subsystem engineers (avionics, ground segment, systems) to identify software architecture design, select components/technologies, and make build-or-buy decisions.
Design software architecture with DSP/Microprocessor selection, develop BSP (Board Support Package), and evaluate design feasibility.
Manage schedules, costs, and quality for assigned functions, breaking down component functions into tasks, tracking status and issues, and reporting to leads/managers.
Lead software engineers using modern development methods to construct high-reliability and quality software while saving resources from an architectural perspective.
Design, code, review, integrate, test, support, and enhance software solutions for spacecraft functions (attitude/motion control, command, communication, power, data management, fault protection), including documentation.
Lead design activities for current and future spacecraft software architecture with external and internal stakeholders.
Lead new function design and problem analysis from an architectural viewpoint with strong accountability.

10+ years of experience designing and coding embedded software for high-reliability applications.
Strong leadership and communication skills with software engineers, other subsystem engineers, and customers.
Deep understanding of real-time OS and embedded software.
Experience with bus, communication, and networking protocols (RS-422, PCI, Ethernet, SpaceWire, etc.).
Proficient in C programming language.
Proactive attitude, self-direction, and interest in working in a startup environment and with diversity.
Willingness to challenge new technologies.
