About the Role
This role focuses on utilizing software for designing, optimizing, and creating detailed technical plans for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, requiring strong technical skills in electrical, civil, and structural principles with a focus on accuracy, compliance with codes, and equipment specifications.
Responsibilities
- Utilize software (PV case, PV Farm, SAM, PVsyst) for designing, optimizing, and creating detailed technical plans for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
- Create PV layouts to support the electrical design of the project in collaboration with other disciplines.
- Perform electrical “blocking” and MV routing for PV design.
- Assist with generation of single line diagrams.
- Evaluate design alternatives to solve constructability, code, and site challenges.
- Utilize AutoCAD to produce engineered construction plans and sheet set ups, including plan views, sections, elevations, and details.

- Ability to lead design projects, mentor junior staff, and maintain design standards.
