Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains customer relationships at all levels within their district through regular customer visits.
  • Manages, coaches, and directs customer engineers, including salary planning, career development, performance appraisals, and formal updates.
  • Initiates necessary business reports and serves as the primary interface with Product Divisions for technical support, training, spares, and reliability.
  • Monitors the CSD Award Program and ensures all new engineers have a mentor.
  • Executes escalation procedures.
  • Collaborates with District Sales Engineers on account planning and provides support plans for system sales.
  • Responsible for financial forecasting and cost efficiency within the district, measured by financial results.
  • Manages system installation, including planning, reporting, execution, pre-facility meetings, start-up meetings, and process support identification.
  • Manages the RMA procedure and measures engineer effectiveness.
  • Ensures accuracy and understanding of Customer Engineer hours tracking, performing cross-checks and taking corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Works on issues requiring analysis of situation or data.
  • Receives assignments with objectives and goals, recommending changes to unit policies.
  • Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
  • Administers company policies affecting subordinate employees.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies.
  • Understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance.
  • Demonstrates the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.
