About the Role
As a Commis de Rang, you will support the service team in providing attentive service to guests, from preparation to execution. Join our dedicated team and set standards in first-class hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Support Demichefs and Chefs de Rang in smooth station management and independently handle tasks like serving food and beverages, and setting tables.
- Deliver attentive and professional service according to Kempinski standards.
- Prepare and clean the service area, assist with opening and closing procedures, and maintain a clean workspace.
- Warmly welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and relay requests or feedback to the Demichef/Supervisor.
- Strictly adhere to fire safety, hygiene (HACCP), safety standards, and Kempinski Grooming Standards.
- Actively participate in training and meetings, and assist with inventory and cross-departmental tasks.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in gastronomy/hospitality or initial practical experience in upscale service.
- Identify fully with our grooming standards.
- Enthusiasm for first-class gastronomy, interest in high-quality products, and motivation to deepen sales techniques and expertise.
- Positive demeanor, reliability, and a proactive attitude, even during busy periods.
- Good German and English language skills.
- Initial experience with common POS systems is advantageous.
