About the Role
As a Transfer Pricing Associate, you will be responsible for working on multiple client engagements, client communications, and developing your transfer pricing technical skills and knowledge. This role is ideal for a recent university graduate interested in Canadian tax law and transfer pricing, preferably working towards their CPA designation.
Responsibilities
- Work on client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, completing transfer pricing projects, and managing budgets.
- Complete client engagements by conducting detailed economic, financial, and accounting analyses demonstrating an understanding of transfer pricing concepts and method application.
- Evaluate and advise clients on intercompany transfers of tangible goods, intangible property, services, and loans.
- Conduct financial and economic analyses of multinational and domestic corporations.
- Perform industry and market research, economic valuations, and comparative financial benchmarking.
- Prepare detailed reports and memoranda outlining client facts and analyzing market and economic factors.
- Prepare and analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance using MS Word, Excel, and various statistical sampling packages.
- Review and analyze financial statements.
- Interact and communicate with client personnel regularly to gather key information, resolve transfer pricing related issues, and communicate recommendations.
- Assist with business development initiatives.
- Build relationships internally with personnel in other service lines and other RSM firms.
- Assist in preparing presentations for internal and external audiences related to transfer pricing technical and current events.
Requirements
- Previous client service experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid research and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
