About the Role

The Marketing Manager role in Japan is a key hands-on position responsible for supporting and executing both B2C and B2B marketing across digital channels. You will focus on utilizing key marketing channels effectively and efficiently to drive ticket sales and customer engagement, while also supporting business development and strengthening our consumer and client brand presence in Japan. This is a broad marketing generalist role, with a particular focus on data-driven marketing, growth, and continuous improvement. You will use business and marketing data to identify issues and opportunities, help set priorities, and plan, execute and optimize initiatives across both B2C and B2B marketing. Working closely with local stakeholders and the global marketing team, you will also help improve the tools, reporting and processes needed to support marketing in Japan as the business grows.

Responsibilities

  • Own the rollout of weekly B2C email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, solus emails, and ad-hoc communications, using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Create and publish engaging content across social media channels, ensuring alignment with both artist and AXS brand guidelines
  • Support B2B business development through marketing communications, campaign support, and sales-facing materials
  • Deliver brand awareness initiatives that strengthen brand presence and drive audience engagement
  • Monitor competitor and market activity and provide regular insights and feedback to inform marketing activity
  • Plan, manage, and optimize paid social and Google Ads campaigns based on performance and business priorities
  • Work closely with sales teams to support commercial activity and lead generation
  • Build weekly and monthly performance reports in Looker for senior stakeholders, sharing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Help shape B2C and B2B marketing priorities for the Japanese market, aligned with business objectives and global marketing direction
  • Set, track, and analyze key business and marketing KPIs, using data to identify issues, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Plan, execute, measure, and optimize marketing initiatives to improve customer engagement, conversion, ticket sales, and support business development
  • Support marketing across AXS.com, including ability to edit images, text and links
  • Collaboration with the Client Services Team to ensure processes are maintained and to continuously identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure that AXS.com copy meets SEO requirements and is edited to be concise, relevant, refreshed and focused on improving search performance
  • Work closely with the venues and promoters ticketing teams to ensure that processes are maintained and reviewed regularly to improve usability, including occasional face to face client meetings
  • Send B2B communications and product updates in collaboration with the sales team
  • Update AXS Tickets B2B Solutions website and updating company LinkedIn page
  • Lead day-to-day social media communications, with a focus on growing followers and engagement
  • Plan and execute paid performance advertising (social media & Google), in collaboration with the relevant team
  • Use of Salesforce ECRM platform and sending out emails to our database
  • Work with Looker data reports to review marketing performance, identify opportunities, and improve best practice and revenue performance
  • Continuously review competitor activity and share relevant insights and recommendations
  • Use data from previous shows and campaigns to best target future sales
  • Work cross-functionally with the rest of the AXS Tickets team and wider AXS global team
  • Positively contribute to our company culture and live our core values
  • Translations for global marketing / product needs from English to Japanese as required
  • Support the improvement of marketing reporting, tools, and operational processes as the Japan business develops
  • Coordinate external marketing partners and agencies, including advertising, PR, creative, and branding partners, where required

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, content, or related roles
  • Hands-on experience with social media, CMS, and website back-end management
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making skills
