About the Role
Genesis Health Clubs is seeking hospitality-driven Sales Managers to ensure financial growth and sales performance in Membership Dues and Membership Base Growth by overseeing all aspects of sales operations. This includes prospecting, staff training, new member sales, and member retention.
Responsibilities
- Seek new and existing memberships to exceed sales goals via phone, outside sales, and current member retention.
- Report and communicate daily with Club General Manager and Regional Manager on goal achievement.
- Conduct daily sales meetings to discuss performance and objectives with the club Sales team.
- Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, direct work, evaluate performance, reward, and discipline staff.
- Ensure effective orientation and training for new team members.
- Attend all staff and club meetings and events.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with staff.
- Maintain and update sales policies and procedures.
- Monitor club Membership revenues and goals.
- Collaborate with retention departments to ensure high facility participation.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
Requirements
- Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Must hold current CPR certification or obtain within 60 days of start date.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Experience in cash handling and credit cards.
- Member Service abilities.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to communicate with guests and other associates, including reading, writing, and speaking.
