About the Role
The BIG Internship offers hands-on experience in BDO's national consulting practice, focusing on helping clients identify and claim government incentives like the Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credit. Interns will collaborate with BDO professionals and client leaders across various industries to support clients in claiming their entitled incentives and develop into trusted advisors.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of multiple client engagements.
- Collaborate with other BIG professionals in business aspects, including strategy and process development.
- Establish effective working relationships with BIG professionals and BDO employees.
- Contribute to the development of technical acumen and BIG's market prominence.
- Assist in business development research and opportunity identification for clients.
- Contribute to, support, and enhance the culture of BIG, local offices, and BDO.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and basic research skills.
- Solid organizational skills, with an ability to meet project deadlines and focus on details.
- Ability to successfully multitask while working independently or in a group.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interact professionally with people at all organizational levels.
- Desire to understand the purpose of tasks and seek learning opportunities.
- Demonstrate interest in self-study to further develop technical competency and knowledge of incentive issues.
