About the Role
Marsh is seeking candidates to join our Life Sciences Placement team focused on product liability, clinical trials, and E&O coverage. This role involves developing and executing renewal strategies, negotiating coverage terms, and presenting program recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with Marsh’s senior team members to develop and execute renewal strategy, select insurers to approach, negotiate broad coverage terms, produce and present program recommendations and complete documentation of all placement activities.
- Foster relationships within your team, colleagues, clients, carriers to provide cohesive client service.
- Consult management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participate in development of solutions.
- Ensure client renewal transactions are compliant with professional standards.
- Assist in special projects within team.
- Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production such as active participation in RFPs and coverage reviews.
- Provide coverage expertise to negotiate and drive optimal terms on behalf of our clients.
- Thoroughly review all quotes, binders, and policies to ensure accuracy of coverage placed.
Requirements
- College degree
- 2-5 years of insurance industry or relevant experience
- P&C licensed, OR ability to obtain within 3 months of employment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and the ability to learn proprietary applications/databases
