About the Role
Mandiant's offensive security consulting team performs Red and Purple Team assessments of customer environments. We breach customer networks to reveal flaws, test weaknesses, and exercise defensive teams and capabilities, applying real-world threat actor techniques and tradecraft. Our consultants are offensive security experts specializing in all stages of the attack lifecycle, adapting to diverse customer technologies and emulating various threat actors to deliver realistic breach scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Perform Red and Purple Team assessments, including end-to-end adversarial emulation of cyber attacks against customer organizations.
- Conduct technical cyber assessments, including external penetration, web application, mobile, and wireless security testing.
- Expand team capabilities through tool creation, research on offensive techniques, incorporation of threat actor intelligence, and internal knowledge sharing.
- Develop comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for technical and executive audiences.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level, security leaders, and other customer stakeholders.
- Assist with scoping prospective engagements.
- Lead teams for engagements from kickoff through the remediation phase.
- Mentor other staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in offensive security or red teaming functions.
- Experience includes network, web application, mobile, cloud, social engineering, scripting, or tool development.
