About the Role
As a temporary/leave replacement Physical Education Teacher with Scholars Academies (Grades PreK - 7th), you will be student-facing the majority of the day. You will collaborate with your department and the instructional leadership team to develop curriculum, provide high-quality instruction, track student progress, foster a positive classroom culture, and engage in continuous improvement. You will also serve as a class advisor, offering mentorship and support to students throughout their high school careers. The team works together to equip students with the skills, character, and well-being necessary to excel academically, lead their communities, and achieve their full potential.

Requirements
- Expertise teaching Physical Education at the elementary level or above
- Hold yourself to high professional and ethical standards
- Experience with or excitement about researching best practices in anti-racist pedagogy
- Enjoy and/or have experience working with diverse populations of students and communities
- Believe that every student can and will learn when provided with a quality education
- Demonstrated success in raising the achievement levels of students who historically have not had equitable access to education opportunities
- Willingness to be flexible in your role and adapt to school and student needs
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning through professional development
- Minimum of two years of experience in relevant educational positions
