About the Role

The Site Operations Manager will manage the daily materials management operations of an outdoor construction materials yard, overseeing receipt, tracking, and shipment of materials. This role provides leadership, guidance, and development to team members, fostering a culture of responsiveness to customer needs and implementing policies and procedures. The position partners with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve customer-related issues.

Responsibilities

Dedicated supervision of an electrical materials lay-down yard.
Manages daily materials management operations including receipt, put away, inventory, pick/ship, quality, inspection, and site safety.
Provides leadership and direction for the yard materials management team.
Ensures adherence to company and client Health & Safety programs.
Prepares program and material status reports.
Performs complex material administration activities.
Collaborates with program members, suppliers, and internal personnel to meet deadlines.
Collaborates with clients to maintain schedules and manage potential delays.
Serves as the primary onsite company representative to the client.
Attends and leads required meetings.
Provides daily direction and oversight of the materials management team.
Trains and monitors staff on site safety and operating rules.
Ensures adherence to all company SOPs and Work Instructions.

Requirements

Competency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint).
Follows company and client Health & Safety Program.
Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management.
Understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to professionally represent the company and program.
Presents numerical data effectively.
Ability to read and interpret written information.
Excellent organization and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, think strategically, problem solve, and collaborate.
Highly motivated, results-focused, with a high sense of urgency.
